Failure to Communicate!
Seriously, why do I do it? Why do I put myself in harms way by getting my hair cut. I get up the courage to say, "Okay, it doesn't matter who cuts my hair, it just needs to be cut" and then.......
If I blow dry my hair straight down, with no curl, I can get the whole mamma Brady look going
This lovely dynamic shows the whole "cliff" thing I have going on with the back of my head! Notice how it dips nicely at my neck!
This is most (defiantly) definately a communication error between me and my beautician. This is a long layer which looked okay until I asked for my hair to be thinned a "little".... I did not know that you can do a whole edward scissorhands affect with a razor blade but hey.... I KNOW now! The lovely part you cannot see sticking out is a DUCK TALE. It was free but only if I acted quickly! Notice there are no other parts of the back of my head that are this length! Oh well, it will give people at church something to look at as they think to themselves,
"I wonder what happened to her hair?"
This is truly a vision of loveliness...the thinning...the layers and there are many and I know this because I failed to heed to the warning where I said, "I just need to be able to put my hair in a pony tail" to which she replies, "Well I hope you like bobby pins, because if you want this in a pony tail the only way you will be able to do that is with a whole lot of bobby pins!" Stop laughing...she really said that, but what she did not mention is that I would also be in the bathroom for countless hours while I try to curl OR straighten all those lovely razor cut mis-matched ends...oiy!
No, that is not the wind blowing my hair. This is what you get with a lovely razor thinning out session! Notice the height I can get on the back of my head and the length below it.
I would like to also add: it does require a ton of hair spray to get my hair to stay in the middle in the back because, you see, it all swoops to the right. Something tells me that it may NOT be even!

The bird that got away!
When we got home today Megan went out into the garage and Hestin....ummm ....let me back up...
Hestin is our GIRL cat. She was named before anyone checked the gender :o)
Okay, so Hestin was in the garage and had a bird cornered. I don't know what kind of bird but it was pretty and VERY tired.
We watched for a little while and everytime Hestin would get close, the bird would fly to the other side of the garage.
Hestin was defeated and the bird was tired.
Megan thought she would try to catch the bird with a pvc pipe and a box.
The bird just flew over the top of her and pooped on her.
Speaking of "pooped" the bird was very much so.
It could hardly fly.
Zac came home and they tried to catch the bird.
Zac's idea was to catch the cat and throw it at the bird.
I couldn't take it anymore and was afraid the bird was going to eventually end up in the house, so I opened the garage and let the poor bird out....
it was exhausted.....
Hestin was defeated....
and the bird got away!

Life's New Adventure
All my life I have been the perfect child with perfect eye sight.
I have been the only one without glasses or contacts and then it happened........
I realized I was over 40 and my eye sight was starting to have issues.
At first I thought it was because I am on the computer all day and I was having some episodes of blurred vision but then during scripture reading one night I realized that I could not see the words I was reading until I had my book at arm's length....Ah HAH....I could see the words.
Meet my new friend.....

So why are you doing this?
The Blue and Gold banquet is tonight so I decided to be different and copy my sister Kal and make
TV Dinner Cupcakes to be auctioned off.
I was so excited when they were finished, however, everyone in my house has looked at them and said, "So, why are you doing this?"
"So, what are they supposed to be?"
"Oh, so you're trying to make cupcakes look like food....why?"
Whatever!
I thought they turned out cute and I am taking them anyway!
HA...along with my BROWNIE PIZZA!
My kids are so sheltered they don't even know what a TV Dinner is......where did I go wrong!
My TV DINNER complete with Drumstick (cupcake with donut hole frosted and rolled in graham cracker crumbs and a bone made of white chocolate) Peas and Carrots (cupcake with cut up starburst in squares and laffy taffy rolled into balls) Chocolate Pudding (cupcake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles) Mashed Potatoes (cupcake frosted with a yellow starburst and carmel sauce)PIZZA....brownie mix cooked on a foil pizza pan..cooled..then topped with chocolate frosting dyed red with shredded white chocolate and assorted candies.
AND this is Austin's racetrack cake he is going to auction off tonight.
